The night was supposed to be simple.

Amber had been feeling overwhelmed by everything happening around her, and Wayne suggested they get out of the house for a few hours.

“Come on,” Wayne said. “You need a break. Let's go somewhere, have some fun, and forget about all this drama.”

Amber hesitated.

“A casino?”

Wayne laughed.

“Why not? We don't have to go crazy. We'll place a small bet, grab something to eat, and come back.”

Amber smiled.

“Okay. But if we lose, don't blame me.”

Wayne shook his head.

“I already know you're going to blame me.”

The two of them headed out.

The casino was packed.

Music played.

They started playing.

At first, everything was relaxed.

Amber laughed whenever Wayne made a bad decision.

“You really thought that was going to work?”

Wayne shook his head.

“Don't disrespect my strategy.”

“Strategy?”

Amber laughed.

“You just lost!”

Wayne pointed at her.

“Okay, your turn.”

Amber took the seat.

She placed a small bet.

The result came in.

She won.

Amber jumped up.

“I WON!”

Wayne started laughing.

“See? Beginners' luck.”

Amber smiled proudly.

“Maybe I'm better than you.”

He walked over and greeted her.

Back at the table, Amber suddenly looked emotional.

“I don't want to go home yet.”

Wayne asked, “Why?”

“Because when I go home, the drama starts again.”

Wayne nodded.

“You need to deal with it eventually.”

“I know.”

Amber looked directly at him.

“But tonight, I just want peace.”

Wayne stood.

“Then let's get some food.”

Amber smiled.

As they walked away, she suddenly grabbed Wayne's arm.

He stopped.

“What?”

“Thank you.”

“For being there.”

She hugged him.

He opened one message.

His eyes widened.

Someone had posted a picture from the casino.

“WAYNE AND AMBER CAUGHT GETTING WAY TOO CLOSE AT THE CASINO! 😱🔥 WHAT REALLY HAPPENED?”

Wayne immediately sat up.

“No…”

He opened the picture.

It showed Amber sitting extremely close to him.

The angle made it look much more intimate than it actually was.

Wayne immediately called Amber.

She answered.

“Hello?”

“Have you seen this?”

“Seen what?”

Wayne sent her the picture.

A few seconds later, Amber called back.

“Oh my God.”

“I know.”

“This isn't what it looks like.”

“I know that.”

“But everybody is going to think—”

“I know.”

Amber became quiet.

Wayne didn't know.

But before they could investigate, another message arrived.

And one of them showed Amber holding Wayne's arm while they were sitting together.

Amber stared at it.

“What?”
